Tour Policies

At Tlaloc Fishing & Adventure Tours, we’re committed to providing a safe, fair, and transparent experience. Please review our policies below. By booking a tour with us, you agree to these terms.

🔄 Cancellation Policy

• 7+ days before tour: Full refund of your deposit, or free rescheduling to any available date.
• 48 hours – 7 days before tour: Deposit may be applied to a rescheduled date. No cash refund, but full credit toward a future tour within 6 months.
• Less than 48 hours before tour: Deposit is non-refundable. We may offer partial credit toward a rescheduled date at our discretion.
• No-show: Full deposit is forfeited.

🌊 Weather Policy

Your safety is our #1 priority. San Juan del Sur generally enjoys excellent weather, but conditions can change. Our policy:

• Our Captain makes the final call on whether conditions are safe to go out.
• If we cancel due to weather: You receive a full refund of your deposit, or you can reschedule to any available date at no extra charge.
• If conditions are fishable but not ideal (light rain, moderate swells), the tour proceeds as scheduled unless you choose to reschedule (standard cancellation terms apply).
• We monitor marine forecasts continuously and will contact you as early as possible if weather looks questionable.

💵 Refund Policy

• Deposits are refundable according to the cancellation timeline above.
• Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via the original payment method.
• If you paid the remaining balance on arrival and the tour is cut short due to unexpected weather or mechanical issues, we will offer a pro-rated refund or a complimentary reschedule.
• We cannot guarantee specific fish species or quantities — fishing is a sport, and that’s part of the thrill! No refunds are issued based on catch results.

🛡️ Safety Requirements

• All guests must participate in the mandatory safety briefing before departure.
• Life vests are provided and must be worn when instructed by the Captain.
• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Alcohol consumption: You’re welcome to bring your own drinks, but excessive intoxication is a safety risk. Our Captain reserves the right to refuse boarding or terminate a tour early (without refund) if a guest’s condition compromises safety.
• Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or mobility concerns when booking so we can prepare accordingly.

⏰ Late Arrivals

• Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
• Late arrivals may result in a shortened tour (no price adjustment) or, if more than 30 minutes late, may be treated as a no-show.
• If you’re running late, contact us immediately — we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

📸 Media & Photography

We love sharing the excitement of our tours! By joining us, you agree that photos and videos taken during your tour may be used for our website, social media, and promotional materials. If you prefer not to be featured, just let us know — we’re happy to respect your privacy.

🐟 Catch & Release

We follow Nicaraguan fishing regulations and practice responsible angling. Certain species (like undersized fish and billfish) are catch-and-release. Your crew will guide you on what can be kept. We clean and fillet all legal table fish for you to take home.
